PEPE FESTIVAL is very green, welcoming, open and free. Brought to you by Rare Pepes, Fake Rares, Scarce.city NFT FACTORY - L’AVANT GALERIE VOSSEN, Paris
Pepe Fest is a groundbreaking festival dedicated to the iconic character Pepe and its profound influence on art, blockchain technology, memes, digital assets, and the unfettered expression of creativity. This extraordinary event distinguishes itself as a celebration for all. Pepe Fest proudly offers free admission, shunning corporate affiliations and the exclusivity often associated with NFT conferences. Because Pepe is for the people.
Pepe Fest will span three days, from October 5th to October 7th, featuring an array of artistic experiences, including exhibitions, workshops, live painting performances, discussion panels, DJ sets, an unforgettable boat party, and much more. The Festival will take place in two remarkable locations in the heart of Paris: NFT Factory and L’Avant Galerie Vossen.
NFT Factory is a unique space to discover NFTs, network, and build projects in Web3. It is located in front of one of the most important museums in the world, the Centre Pompidou, precisely at 137 rue Saint-Martin - Paris. A few steps away in Rue Chapon lies L’Avant Galerie Vossen, where artists engage in dialogues and collaborations, often centered around thematic group exhibitions. Benoit Couty, co-founder of NFT Factory: “The Pepe show was immediately obvious on the first day I entered this green space. I pushed for this every time I met members of the Pepe community. It took 1 year to happen…not that bad. Also, after visiting Pepe Is Art and Fake Rares shows in NYC, I knew physical pieces were dear to the Pepe community. As we cannot host physical art at Factory, I contacted my friend and partner Albertine to enquire about L’ Avant Gallerie, and they accepted”.
On the occasion of the Pepe Fest, a digital art exhibition about Pepe will be held at NFT Factory on 50 screens of different dimensions and the external screens on the square, with the basement dedicated to works and live interactive performances by Pepelangelo, an artist who has been painting Pepe oil canvases since 2016. The art show at L’Avant Galerie will be fully dedicated to physical artworks. The exhibited art will span from historical pieces to the new submission by the various Pepe communities.
Scrilla, one of the two head fake scientists and co-curators of Fake Rares alongside Fake Annie shares : “You can expect to see artists from all over the world showcasing an array of art using Pepe as the subject. Some of the pepe art is made from oil and acrylic paintings on canvas and wood, sculptures, 3D printed toys, drawings, neon lights, composites, and much more.” Fake Annie adds: “Each physical piece is intertwined with a digital counterpart published in one of two fake directories: Fake Rares or Fake Commons Gallery Editions. Though only a select few Fake Rares originate from physical masterpieces, our galleries celebrate how the technology connects art’s dual worlds. Whether you’re an artist looking for a creative spark or a collector eager to explore novel ways of experiencing art, the fake artists always deliver an exceptional show.”
Beyond the exhibitions, the legendary Joe Looney, creator of the Rare Pepe Wallet, will host workshops on Counterparty and unveil the new Rare Pepe Wallet. Participants will have the opportunity to create and mint their own Pepes during the event, with a special collection dedicated to the pieces minted during the festival. A highlight of Pepe Fest is the Rare Pepe Scientist river cruise on the Seine, promising a boat party like no other... Find all the info and sign up here. Renowned DJ QBERT, together with DJ PEPE and DJ THEO G, will set the musical backdrop at both venues. On the festival’s final day, auctioneer Theo Goodman will host a live auction marathon through Scarce.City. With no reserve prices, it’s a chance for art enthusiasts to acquire unique pieces. Participating in the auction is easy, requiring only a small Bitcoin deposit as collateral, refundable upon bid completion. QR codes on each artwork simplify the process. You just need to scan and have some fun. Follow the updates from the Festival at pepefest.lol
